Brown Jenkin Perfume Oil

The yellowed country records containing her testimony and that of her accusers were so damnably suggestive of things beyond human experience – and the descriptions of the darting little furry object which served as her familiar were so painfully realistic despite their incredible details.

That object – no larger than a good-sized rat and quaintly called by the townspeople “Brown Jenkin – seemed to have been the fruit of a remarkable case of sympathetic herd-delusion, for in 1692 no less than eleven persons had testified to glimpsing it. There were recent rumours, too, with a baffling and disconcerting amount of agreement. Witnesses said it had long hair and the shape of a rat, but that its sharp-toothed, bearded face was evilly human while its paws were like tiny human hands. It took messages betwixt old Keziah and the devil, and was nursed on the witch’s blood, which it sucked like a vampire. Its voice was a kind of loathsome titter, and it could speak all languages. Of all the bizarre monstrosities in Gilman’s dreams, nothing filled him with greater panic and nausea than this blasphemous and diminutive hybrid, whose image flitted across his vision in a form a thousandfold more hateful than anything his waking mind had deduced from the ancient records and the modern whispers.

A small, furry, sharp-toothed scent that will nuzzle you curiously in the black hours before dawn: dusty white sandalwood and orris root, dry coconut husk, creeping musk, and the residue of ceremonial incense.

This starts off smelling like a sweet, wet basket. If you’ve ever had to wash a basket, you’ll know what I mean! Then it softens into a dry, musky coconut. Not a food smell; more like washing off coconut sunscreen at the end of the day. That kind of coconut. I like it a lot.

Love it. Was excited to receive this as a frimp, as I’m slowly collecting bottles from the Lovecraft line. This one I keep thinking of spearmint, but it’s not in there. It really is sharp, & furry, also dream-like. Definitely need a bottle of it.

This is a great scent, and definitely my go-to scent now. The dominant note is incense, but there is a delightful sweetness to it all. It is not overwhelmingly incense-y, or smoky, but instead is musky and warm. It is a very comforting scent. This is a scent I must have on hand at all times. (Side note: I was at a party and one girl couldn’t get enough of the scent–cue the hours of cuddling!)

thats my favourite! I had an imp of it from a friend and killed it, had to get a full bottle. it is…mysterious. covers whole of me everytime I wear it. not feminine. so very much black magic( its incense probably). I even read a story about a character lol. I think I’m posessed with this scent.

I don’t know how to describe this one. It’s not harsh like some incense blends can be. The coconut husk mellows it out. It doesn’t smell like coconut, but there is a softness there. There’s definitely some incense to it, and definitely some soft white sandalwood. It’s a very melodic scent, I think.

I recently received a frimp of this with my last order. Finally a Picnic in Arkham scent that works for me. My chemistry brings out something similar to Samhain, but not as complex. It has light to medium sillage and throw and lasted most of the day. Recommended for those looking for something similar to Samhain, but a little less heady.
