“Depraved” is the best illustration of why you have to try an oil on your skin to know what it’s really like. I didn’t like this one in the imp–it had an acrid, stinging quality. When I first applied it, the acrid note remained but quickly dried down to a strange, pepper-like smell. However, after only a few minutes a pleasantly fruity perfume developed–not overly sweet, as many fruit-based fragrances are on me. Then the black patchouli came through, which is a wonderfully earthy, warm, sensual smell. In less than an hour of wear, the two scents had blended together beautifully on my skin in a mostly warm and woody, patchouli-forward fragrance with just a slight occasional hint of apricot. What I like so much about this fragrance is its lack of complexity. It’s easy to detect each of the notes on their own, and they complement and balance one another perfectly. I usually find fruity fragrances too sweet and feminine for me, but this one hits the mark dead on. I am going to add it to my regulars!

Strong apricot right out of the imp. After a while the patchouli comes through, but it remains a fruity scent.

This is a cold, cold scent in the bottle, and stayed that way on my skin. The black patchouli has a peppery, almost clinical quality that completely overpowered any apricot scent on me. It did eventually warm up after a few hours, and at that point the patchouli mellowed our just enough for me to get a tiny hint of apricot. I wouldn’t wear this on its own again, but it did layer really nicely under Burial the second time I tried it. I think it has more potential as a layering scent for me.

I didn’t know patchouli & apricot could be so complimentary of one another. It’s a really simple blend, but I enjoy it very much! It’s going on my wish list for sure. Gives me the impression of mysterious strangers, & walking alone at night.

I was really bummed out when Grand Guignol was discontinued, but now that I’ve tried Depraved, I think I like it even better. The patchouli cuts the sweetness of the apricot better than the brandy. It’s earthier, dirtier, sexier. It’s definitely apricot and definitely a pretty dark patchouli, but it’s more than the sum of its parts. And it lasts really well. I love it!

What can I say, I love Patchouli and I love apricots, both together are amazing and both are really coming out great on my skin.

Patchouli and fruit blends sometimes go really sickly on me. This was one of those times. 🙁

After about a week the apricot really came out of the dark patchouli. It was almost too much patchouli at first but now it’s just like others have described, juicy apricot and contrasted with that dark and dirtiness. It’s not a sweet apricot at all, but more like a sensual earthy apricot incense. I swear I’ve smelled an incense similar to this a long time ago.

Fresh, this is very woody, dirty patchouli, and sweet, chewy apricot…kind of disjointed and disturbing. Aged about 6 months, this smells like dirty skin, in the best way-like lovers eating apricots fresh from the tree in the hot , hot sun.

I really wanted to like it and maybe it’s just my chemistry but the patchouli was just too overpowering on me. I never really detected the apricot in it and was thinking that perhaps it might need a touch more or maybe even something sweeter thrown in the mix to balance it. I think I’m going to see if this one improves with age, I really love fruit scents, particularly apricot so I’m not willing to give up on it just yet.

Both my girlfriend and my boyfriend complimented this scent. The apricot is delicious and not at all sugary. It’s fresh and juicy while the patchouli adds a dark spiciness. This one is going on my short list.

luscious, juicy apricot and dark, resinous, patchouli. what a fabulous contrast. the apricot is so realistic and mouth-watering that i want to lick my arm. a flirtatious, dirty, sexy scent.
