Blood Rose Perfume Oil

Sensual, robust, and silken: voluptuous red rose bursting with lascivious red wine and sultry dragon’s blood resin.

Rappaccini’s Garden

Ascending to his chamber, he seated himself near the window, but within the shadow thrown by the depth of the wall, so that he could look down into the garden with little risk of being discovered. All beneath his eye was a solitude. The strange plants were basking in the sunshine, and now and then nodding gently to one another, as if in acknowledgment of sympathy and kindred.

It goes without saying that the Rappaccini’s Garden and Apiary scents do not truly contain poisonous plant materials. Artistic license, my friend. Artistic license.

I’ve been looking for a truly rose-scented oil, and I think this is the perfect one for me. It doesn’t smell powdery on my skin, and it lasts for a good while before fading. I’m really pleased with it—this is my favorite rose oil so far!

Dry it smells like Dusty red roses, mauseleums, & syrupy red wine. In the bottle it smells like cherry flavored fake blood that comes in kid’s Vampire makeup kits. Really slapped me with nostalgia there, & I love you for it!

This a luscious rose scent. I love dragon blood anyway and the rose gives it a lush floral addition. It sticks with me most of the day and fades down quite nicely. It doesn’t turn to “old lady” like some florals tend to do on me.

Most rose oils go sour on me, and all of the BPAL strong dragons blood scents make me nauseous, but this is a sexy rose that I want a full size of! It is more fruity than wine-ish, but not too sweet. A sexy vampish rose that seems to last a while.

love this oil, warm and earthy.

In the imp: The wine is the strongest note, but I can also smell the Lab’s dragon’s blood note and the rose.

Wet: I am getting more dragon’s blood on my skin (which is like a somewhat spiced floral with a bit of cherry to my nose) and a fair amount of wine. The rose is becoming more prominent the longer this sits on my skin. The rose ends up becoming the dominant note, but the other notes are still present, and they certainly aren’t faint.

Dry: Boozy, fruity rose and dragon’s blood resin.

    Verdict: Not for me.

Floral sweetness, slightly dry, rich warmth underneath. Sweeter than I expected and a touch refreshing.
