Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heav’n.
This is our song to Lucifer, Lucis Ferre, Heosphoros, the Morning Star, the Brilliant One and the Son of the Morning. He is equated with Samhazai, the Heaven-Seizer, and Azazel, one of the 200 Fallen Angels of Enoch. The essence of overweening pride and unearthly angelic beauty. A regal scent, glowing darkly, elegant and patrician, but unfathomably desolate. Cherubic white sandalwood and golden musk with a dark halo of amber, a breath of imperial florals, unbending woods, and the shadow cast by vetiver and violet.

This one is very pleasant. It’s soft, clean sandalwood. It’s elegant. Not a loud scent in any way. It’s also a slightly masculine smell in my opinion, but very soft.

First thought: Oh this is pretty, many violets. Violet is a scary note for me because I love the idea of it and I love it in some blends (Midnight on the Midway, e.g.) but it can quickly go bubblegum on me if I’m not careful (Brusque Violets, e.g.). This is a nice balance of violet. The white sandalwood keeps it from becoming too bubblegum and I really like the amber and musk here, too. The vetiver is no doubt keeping it more regal, along with whatever other florals are in here (can’t tell). This is nice, soft, feminine, but unexpected. Do like!
Where I’d wear this: A tea party with your best girls

This is by far my favorite fragrance. The amber, sandalwood, and musk are an intoxicating combination that I can’t get enough of. I don’t tolerate fruity, floral, or sweet fragrances well and many fragrances I do like start to smell like baby powder on my skin. Fallen is one of the few fragrances that are neither over powering to my senses, nor does it disappear and fall flat an hour after applying. It makes me feel beautiful, powerful and confident.

My first purchase from BPAL, and it will always be my favourite. It’s warm and earthy with a complex spicy sweetness. If you’re going for subtle, this won’t be your thing {people can usually smell it from over 2 feet away, and it lasts quite a while}, but wear it proudly and be noticed!
