Siren Perfume Oil

Bewitching, tantalizing and dangerously seductive. A thrilling, exotic blend — deceptively sweet, but spiked with malice. White ginger, jasmine, and a touch of vanilla and apricot.

the perfect gothic scent, dark and seductive.

As others have stated in their reviews, the key to this scent is aging! When I first got it, for some reason the scent reminded me so much of my grandmother’s opium perfume (and actually still does before it dries): a nice scent, but not really my thing. Now, after aging a while, it has become a favorite. Once dry, the apricots take center stage, jasmine and vanilla hover just behind, and the ginger gives it a spark. Love it, and it lasts ages on me.

This is another BPAL scent that needs aging. Once again, don’t give up on your purchase until you’ve let it mellow. I ordered Siren in February and, seven months later, have finally found it appealing enough to try it out. When I first received it, I gave it a whiff, slammed the top back on, and shut it away for a month. Then, determined to love it, I put it on without sniffing the bottle… and regretted my decision. It was so cloyingly, unrelentingly sweet, even after hours of wear.

Finally, yesterday, I gave it another sniff. The ginger has finally become discernible in the mass of jasmine left hooks.

Wet: The jasmine is still just so dang overwhelming. Everything else seems there only to make the jasmine hit harder.

Dry: Finally! The ginger is merely a breath of warmth, the jasmine has been sent to her room by the apricots, and the vanilla wraps everyone in a gentle embrace. Jasmine can still be heard raging, but she’s confined to her room. Overall, once aged, this scent it lovely, feminine, and sweet with an afterthought of warmth.

I recently received this as a frimp with my last purchase. After a full body test, this turned into a light clean ginger scent. Not a lot of oomph but interesting enough to keep the imp.

Siren was one of my first BPALs. Its an unusual scent, equal parts lush jasmine and effervescent spicy ginger with a background of dried, musty apricot. I can’t pick out the vanilla, but it likely adds a bit of roundness. Its sexy, but playful in a very grown ass woman kind of way.

Apricot is made sophisticated with the addition of ginger and jasmine. If you like other sexy fruit blends like Depraved or Intrigue, then this is probably for you.
