The forks of the road: an in-between place, sacred and tangibly magickal in innumerable cultures and faiths. This scent is dark with mystery, taut with power. A chill twilit garden of blooms over dry earth and mosses, heavily laden with incense and offertory herbs.

I got this as an imp and I have mixed feelings on it. It’s a nice scent, but it really does have quite a lot of jasmine in it. I was hoping the other scents would come through a little stronger, but instead they give more of a deepening effect, so that the jasmine is a little mossier, a touch earthier, but still distinctly jasmine.

On my skin this starts as a very intense and heady floral perfume, but as it settles undertones of moss begin to peek through. After a while it became a scent that reminds me of a walk in summer woods, the floral scents still strong but not overpowering, like wildflowers by the side of a forest path, but with a grounding base of earth and mosses with hints of the incense and herbs. A very subtly mystical scent, one of my favourites I’ve tried so far.

I like to call jasmine The Scent Eater. On my skin anyway, it swallows up all the other notes. When I first put this on the incense was the strongest scent. Then the jasmine ate it. Then for awhile the floral shared space with the dirt scent…and then ate it. Then the herbs came out to play…and the jasmine ate them too. All of this took under an hour and for the rest of the day I was left with a potent jasmine perfume. I gave it three stars because it really depends on your preference. If you like jasmine, give this one a try. If, like me, it’s not your favorite floral you might want to give it a miss.
