A cat is penned up in a steel chamber, along with the following diabolical device (which must be secured against direct interference by the cat): in a Geiger counter there is a tiny bit of radioactive substance, so small that perhaps in the course of one hour one of the atoms decays, but also, with equal probability, perhaps none; if it happens, the counter tube discharges and through a relay releases a hammer which shatters a small flask of hydrocyanic acid. If one has left this entire system to itself for an hour, one would say that the cat still lives if meanwhile no atom has decayed. The first atomic decay would have poisoned it. The Psi function for the entire system would express this by having in it the living and the dead cat (pardon the expression) mixed or smeared out in equal parts. It is typical of these cases that an indeterminacy originally restricted to the atomic domain becomes transformed into macroscopic indeterminacy, which can then be resolved by direct observation. That prevents us from so naively accepting as valid a “blurred model” for representing reality. In itself it would not embody anything unclear or contradictory. There is a difference between a shaky or out-of-focus photograph and a snapshot of clouds and fog banks.

Very Very Very Sweet. The cinnamon notes are strong to start off with, but the honeysuckle rapidly rises to conquer all, with the spices scattered beneath. Lasts for a good long wile, all throughout my workday.

Out of all the imp’s I have tried from this store this one is my favorite. It does smell strongly of cinnamon so if you like cinnamon you will love this. I loved the smell of it out of the bottle but, it only got better with time.

Not as “fiery” as the description entails on me: the cinnamon is definitely there, but it’s soft & not overpowering (which I appreciate).
Scent reminds me of that peanut & sesame brittle candy you get on Chinese New Year, but much more aromatic: think brown sugar + milk.

Ahh so lovely! Not too cinnamon-y, which is a good thing for me. It’s very soft—an undercurrent. Not nearly as strong as I would’ve expected, and I wonder if the formula’s been changed because others are saying it’s very cinnamon. To me, the honeysuckle is forward, followed by copal and myrrh. I really love this. It smells sweet and innocent.

For what it’s worth, I didn’t have to age mine. It was cinnamon buns right out of the bottle. A very good foody scent.

Age it! Age them all! This one especially. I tried aging it a couple months and still couldn’t stand it. I forgot about it for another nine months, and voila! Creamy, luscious spice.

Wow this is powerful stuff! It actually has some staying power in me in my dry desert climate, too. Very fiery, but still sweet. I’m getting the big bottle.

This came as a freebie with my order; I didn’t try it right away and then forgot about it, so it’s had time to age for a good while. As it is now, it’s a warm, spicy scent, with a slight sweetness and dominant cinnamon and cherry notes. I like it, but it fades super fast on me, so that lowers the rating a bit. For fans of foody, spicy scents, though, I can see this be a potential favorite.

Oh wow, is this good. This was a sample that came with my order and I am glad that it did. It might be my favorite of the group. Like the description says it is a strong cinnamon smell, but really deepened by the myrrh. The spice out of the bottle hit me right away, but on the skin it’s more mellow and smooth. Foody smells work well with my chemistry so it’s perfect.

This oil smells absolutely delicious. Like cinnamon buns. Delicious warm cinnamon buns.
The first time I tried it on, it did smell a bit soapy, but I let it age for a couple of months, and that’s completely gone now. One of my top 5 favorites.

A definite gourmand or foody oil, Chimera stays true to it’s name as it likes to morph.
At very first, immediately after purchase the myrrh is stupendously overwhelming both in the bottle and on skin, completely blanketing the other notes. I thought this was another “miss” but the internet saved me from making a big mistake:
IF YOUR CHIMERA SMELLS GHASTLY, AGE YOUR BOTTLE.
Trust me. I put my imp of “nasty old-lady musk” away in a dark box for a little more than 6weeks (some recommendations suggest even 6months) and when it came out for the sniff test again it had transformed into a deliciously warm cinnamon-y almost creamy, vanilla-y scent. Like holiday baking in a bottle. Yum.
This is now one of my favourite perfume oils, it’s a shame to think I would have missed it if I had traded the imp or simply discarded it after the first test.
