They all started telling stories, then, of how fine and wonderful a thing it was to be a ghoul, of all the things they had crunched up and swallowed down with their powerful teeth. Impervious they were to disease or illness, said one of them. Why, it didn’t matter what their dinner had died of, they could just chomp it down. They told of the places they had been, which mostly seemed to be catacombs and plague-pits (“Plague Pits is good eatin’,” said the Emperor of China, and everyone agreed.) They told Bod how they had got their names and how he, in his turn, once he had become a nameless ghoul, would be named, as they had been.
“But I don’t want to become one of you,” said Bod.
“One way or another,” said the Bishop of Bath and Wells, cheerily, “you’ll become one of us. The other way is messier, involves being digested, and you’re not really around very long to enjoy it.”
“But that’s not a good thing to talk about,” said the Emperor of China.”Best to be a Ghoul. We’re afraid of nuffink!”
And all the ghouls around the coffin-wood fire howled at this statement, and growled and sang and exclaimed at how wise they were, and how mighty, and how fine it was to be scared of nothing.
Dessicated skin coated in blackened ginger, cinnamon, and mold-flecked dirt, with cumin, bitter clove, leather, and dried blood.

Very nice. It’s got that exotic vibe, and is sweet and spicy at the same time. Warm and intoxicating. As it dries more of that incense shows up. Often I think incense notes will be too much, I don’t really want to smell like incense, but my house can. This has just enough to get that vibe, but not overpowering. I guess I can say the same about the patchouli too, that’s often pretty strong. I’m really liking this, but unfortunately it fades relatively fast on me! So I might have to get a fullsize so I can keep reapplying it.

This is the type of scent that gets better the longer you wear it. For the first half of the day I could only pick up the incense notes, which smelled lovely. In the middle of the day I began to smell the orange notes, which were so strong that I actually thought someone around me was eating an orange. I found this fragrance incredibly warm and comforting, and I will definitely be purchasing a full size bottle. It’s worth a try for anyone who enjoys incense smells.

In the imp: Cinnamon, clove, and incense, with a bit of earthiness from the patchouli.
Wet: The cinnamon and clove notes have taken the center stage. I get a bit of the orange note in the background, but the spices are doing their best to stomp on all of the other notes. It’s somewhat reminiscent of Plunder, which also has cinnamon and clove notes.
Dry: The spices still dominate the scent, which has a somewhat creamy element to it now. I’m not really getting much else from this. If I inhale really deeply, I can get a hint of the orange and peach notes, but that’s about it.
Verdict: I’m glad that this one didn’t burn my skin, but this is mostly just cinnamon on me. I already have Pickled Imp for when I’m wanting a cinnamon-heavy scent, so I’ll be passing this imp on to a friend.

This is a very pleasant, spicy scent. However, when the orange notes met my body chemistry, it turned what could have been a very spicy scent into something tamer that was reminiscent of cinnamon candles. On the right person, this could be a standout, so I gave it to a friend to see if it works for her.
