Mad Tea Party
The Dodgson Collection.
Scents inspired by the madness of Alice’s sojourns to Wonderland.
++Moral Hymnody and Nonsense
Lewis Carroll used the Looking Glasses and Rabbit Holes of his fantasy world to mock many contemporary conventions and demonstrate, through nonsense, the strangeness of the human condition. The madness of Wonderland illustrated the absurdities he perceived in the strict, orderly world he lived in.
In the first perfumes of this subseries, our scents parallel the poetic parodies: Lewis Carroll versus Isaac Watts.

BUBBLEGUM
I just read all the reviews and no one said BUBBLEGUM
It’s a very pleasant bubblegum scent, very citrusy/rosey when wet, but becomes a powdery bubblegum when dry.
Powdery bubblegum, just like, pretty much every stick of actual bubblegum. Good bubblegum though, not the rock hard plasticy ones.
I really really like it. Its my happy day scent now.

Quirky & playful, as you’d expect from the name. On me it’s a whimsical blend of patchouli & watermelon candy, a hint of Wonderland that elicits a bemused smile whenever I catch its aromatically echoing voice.

This scent is one of my favorites to wear. Nice & light fruity notes floating to your nose for at least 2 days! This smell is wonderfully playful, absolutely nonsensical to ponder, just like the poem.

For me, it’s a fun summer scent. Just not as complex as I was hoping- fresh sliced, salted watermelon.

I prefer soft florals or clean scents but this fruity perfume is so weird it’s wonderfully enjoyable. I kind of want to wear this forever now.
Gloame –
Wow watermelon. This is the silliest scent I’ve ever scented! And then it totally changes and it’s super pretty and summertime. I didn’t expect to like this at all when I sniffed the watermelon, but woah, what a revolution.

I got an imp of this in the fruity pack. The initial scent when wet is woodsy and musky with just a hint of the melon scent. The musky scent seems to be the prominent note on me without overpowering the melon, berry, and faint floral notes, and it ends up smelling like a sweet incense on my skin once its dry.. It also lasts a long time on me. I probably wouldn’t wear it everyday, but I like it!

I purchased the imp size of this and immediately regretted not purchasing a full bottle. I’m typically not a huge fan of fruity scents, but I thought the description sounded interesting. This is unlike anything else I own. It was love at first sniff and smells even better on my skin. I can definitely see where it reminds one of the other reviewers of a watermelon Jolly Ranger, but it’s so much more complex than that. I will definitely be buying a larger bottle. If the list of ingredients peaks your interest, give it a try!

On me, this blend smells like an incense version of a watermelon Jolly Rancher. It is delicious and lovely!

How lovely this is! The first review here is perfect. I’m getting the blackberries first, with a hint of green and then the watermelon mixed with floral and behind it all that touch of wood.
It’s a tiny little adventure in a bottle, with blackberries!
A masterpiece of happiness and whimsy.

Such an interesting scent! (granted, aren’t they all?) Immediately out of the vial I definitely get woody scents mixed with blackberry and abit of floral after a couple of sniffs. As it dries on me the woody smells soften abit and I get the watermelon and gradually the gardenia comes out more. It’s not as sweet/fruity as I was expecting which is not bad at all. I like it!
