Also called the Lamed Vev, two letters in the Hebrew alphabet that translate to the number thirty-six. In this violent, ugly, strife-riddled world of ours there are thirty-six men, the Hidden Just Men or Hidden Saints, who bear on their shoulders the burden of all our pain, sorrows and sins. The Tzadikim Nistarim move in obscurity, and are usually found among the poor, the downtrodden and the meekest among us, and are chosen for this task because of their righteousness, stalwart sense of genuine justice, and the true goodness of their souls. When one of these men dies, God chooses another to take his place. It is for their sake and for love of them that God does not destroy His imperfect creation. As long as the Lamed Vav serves humanity, the world will continue to plod on, but once one of them dies and God cannot find another worthy to take his place, the world will be destroyed. In Qabala, the thirty-six men of the Tzadikim Nistarim together combine to symbolize the seventy-two bridges, corresponding to the seventy-two names of God, that connect the concealed and revealed worlds of our universe.
The scent is one of unadulterated spiritual purity, with a taste of the world’s eternal pathos, and the joy of suffering with grace: frankincense, olive, spikenard, hyssop and galangal.
A gentle vision of purity, goodness and virtue: white tea, carnation and Damask Rose.
An opiate torpor, soporific, trancelike, and sublimely languid. A poet’s morphine dream, a listless journey into a gentle dream and the precipice of intoxicated madness. Paperwhite and black narcissus, three lilies, black poppy and tuberose and a hint of hypnotic opium den haze.
Like two birds of golden plumage, inseparable companions, the individual self and the immortal Self are perched on the branches of the selfsame tree. The former tastes of the sweet and bitter fruits of the tree; the latter, tasting of neither, calmly observes.
Orange blossom, East Indian sandalwood, and champaca.

I spent weeks trying to decide which scent to choose, and I’m so glad I wound up deciding on this one. It’s beautiful, unique, light and powerful at the same time. To me it’s a perfect balance of masculine and feminine, which is exactly what I wanted.

I like this one a lot. It’s a very fresh, clear scent. Citrus and aquatic mixing together seamlessly. It actually smells very much like another of Bpal’s aquatic perfumes, Lightning…only Lightning has an “ozone ” addition which adds a wildness to this otherwise peaceful clean scent. Basically, they’re both really good; it just depends on what you’re looking for

I’m a guy, and my body chemistry does not do well with sweeter smelling scents (CKOne on me smells like I rolled around in a perfumerie’s lab dumpster). I usually react will to colognes like Drakkar Noir or Invictus. That said, Sea of Glass smells VERY good on me, and presents as a clean, bright smell. Like I just stepped out of a nice hot shower, using very expensive men’s soap, but for 8 hours. My wife said “You smell handsome and you smell like you’ve…I dunno…someone who has their shit together. You smell responsible.”
Very difficult to describe, but that’s about as close as I can get to a description. I wear it on date-night with wife. It could be called “Sea of Glass” or it could be called “You’re gonna get lucky tonight my dude.” Works for me.

This scent makes me feel wise, tranquil, and eternal. A soft, calming scent that evokes the quiet serenity of still water. I am in love.

I’m sitting on the beach in a bower of white lilies. Just beautiful. Will want many bottles of this!

As a huge fan of ocean-inspired scents, I can tell you that Sea of Glass smells like the Mediterranean ocean. It is bright, luminous, colorful and sparkling and it actually kinda reminds me of Elizabeth Arden’s Green Tea perfume. This fragrance is also multi-dimensional with some lemon citrusy zest, but the citrus feels more smooth and juicy than acrid (and while there is a saltiness to it, it’s more like a faint salty spray that I could only detect if I press my nose against my wrist). So in conclusion: I’m glad to have tried this–this is a great starter in testing out BPAL’s aquatics, 5/5!

Reminds me of aquatic scented candles. Very fresh smelling and refreshing. I will use this as a summer scent or as a room scent.

This is another scent that I find works better as a room scent and/or masculine scent. It smells really fresh and watery. It makes me think of spring cleaning in a good way. I love how it smells, but it’s not the right smell for me. I passed it on to my BF and he’s wild about it. I like it on him a lot.

The description on this seemed a bit vague to me, but now that I’ve smelled it I can’t really describe it any better than BP did. Refreshing, energetic? It’s very nice, whatever it is.
