I honestly adore this scent, wet it reminds me of jawbreakers and those old fashioned cinnamon candies, but once it dries down it completely transforms.

I’m also unfamiliar with Kyphi, but as it dries this definitely becomes more floral, but not overly so on me at least. There’s a sweetness that I can only place as honey and I’m picking up on frankincense and myrrh.

Overall it’s a very warm and comforting scent.

I bought this as an imp. In the bottle it has a sweet, sort of resinous incense note. Wet, I pick up sharper, more peppery notes that I can’t identify. As it dries it sort of it morphs into something herbal and lemony, then evolves into a heavy honey-like sweetness accompanied by spicy incense. It’s fairly strong – some might find it cloying – and lasts for hours. To me it’s a sort of mature sexy scent that evokes decadence, mystery, brocade tapestries, red velvet cushions, hookah smoke and burgundy lipstick.
Where I’d wear this: The opera, maybe. Definitely an evening scent.

I tried my Cairo this morning. I am a HUGE fan of Kyphi, so I was really excited about trying this. When I first put this on there was a very distinct citrus scent to it. At first it seemed like lemon, then it became a more expansive citrus. It then quickly died down to something completely different. I thought at first that I noticed a hint of frankincense. But after having worn this for the last 6 hours, I’m really picking up on the honey, wine, raisins and heavier, sweet scents of kyphi. There is a very faint cinnamon undertone as well. It truly does remind me of kyphi.

I received this as a frimp. It smells quite different on me than others. The closest thing I can compare it to is “red fruit” incense that you might buy at the flea market. There is a bit of red fruit in there mixed with incense. Sweet and pretty.

I like this for the summer — it’s subtle but still very distinct.

I received this as a frimp. Hard for me to judge, since I’m unfamiliar with the scent of Kyphi. It seems very lemony, sweet, but not quite into the realm of a lemon drop. It has a bit of complexity that seems a little more like lemongrass, but lacking the strong herbal note. It’s not a bad scent, but I wouldn’t seek it out, as it’s rather unremarkable. Maybe it could be added to another fragrance to punch it up a bit?

I agree with another reviewer- this was very floral on me. It’s almost overwhelming when wet, but it dries down to a softer, sweeter, floral that reminds me of the little bath cubes my mother used when I was a child. I did not detect anything that I would think of as incense.

After a full body test, goes on as an extremely sweet floral when wet and on drydown kind of faded away. It is pleasant but did not last with my chemistry.
