A gentle, soothing blend of cherry blossom, white sandalwood and star anise.
Gaily bedight,
A gallant knight,
In sunshine and in shadow,
Had journeyed long,
Singing a song,
In search of Eldorado.
But he grew old
This knight so bold
And o’er his heart a shadow
Fell as he found
No spot of ground
That looked like Eldorado.
And, as his strength
Failed him at length,
He met a pilgrim shadow
“Shadow,” said he,
“Where can it be
This land of Eldorado?”
“Over the Mountains
Of the Moon,
Down the Valley of the Shadow,
Ride, boldly ride,”
The shade replied
“If you seek for Eldorado!”
Copal resin incense blowing through halls of dazzling gold.
The forks of the road: an in-between place, sacred and tangibly magickal in innumerable cultures and faiths. This scent is dark with mystery, taut with power. A chill twilit garden of blooms over dry earth and mosses, heavily laden with incense and offertory herbs.
At the center of the Garden of Eden stands the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Though modern interpretations of the Bible claim that it was an apple that the Serpent of the Tree offered to Eve, it is widely believed that the true Fruit of True Knowledge was, in fact, a fig.
This oil contains the innocence of the Garden, coupled with the Truth and Erudition found in the fruit of the Tree of Evil: fig leaf, fig fruit, honeyed almond milk, toasted coconut and sandalwood.

It’s a lot spicier and heavier when it goes on, but then it mellows out to a nice, light sweet floral on me. The lavender and lotus combo is perfect!

Paris is an odd scent on me. In the imp, I smell lavender, full stop. On my skin, more of the same, with a sweet note that I assume is lotus peeking through. I was not a fan. But after almost an hour on my skin, I very distinctly smell like clove… with a faint hint of the lavender. It’s not an assertive scent, sits very close to the skin, and it’s really quite nice. Enigmatic, indeed.
Hellokoi –
Powdery lavender, a crystalline sort of muskiness, and a bit of extra sweetness from the lotus. Too powdery and clean for me.

In the imp, this alternates between extreme lavender and a very sweet floral which I assume is the lotus. I’m not crazy about the lotus note. Unfortunately, when I try it on, the lotus begins to completely overpower the lavender. The spice is regrettably absent on me. An hour or so later, this has become the scent of a stale candle in a second hand store. Sadly, this one is not for me.

Oh my goodness, this scent! It is so beautiful and calming. It gives off an almost cherry smell for me. It’s so feminine and delicate. Will be ordering a full size!
