The scents of the blossoms of darkness, condensed into one perfume. Features a rose base, softened with lilac and wisteria.
When, as by glaciers ground, the spate
Swells hissing from beneath,
The water of your mouth, elate,
Rises between your teeth —
It seems some old Bohemian vintage
Triumphant, fierce, and tart,
A liquid heaven that showers a mintage
Of stars across my heart.
A sinister, darkly seductive scent inspired by poetry of Charles Baudelaire. Violet entwined with vanilla and gardenia.
Thy gloomy features, like a midnight dial,
Scowl the dark index of a fearful hour.
Patchouli, ylang ylang, blood orange, and vetiver.
Malevolent, dark and shadowy: sinuous black musk, wet leather and vetiver.
crystallineknowledge –
This scent was kind of startling on me. In the the bottle, it smelled like your standard hard apple cider, and I anticipated the apple would wear well on my skin. Imagine my surprise when upon putting it on, I smelled exactly like bubblegum! It wore very well, hardly fading at all for six or seven hours, but it constantly shifted from smelling like apple cider to the gum scent, and it was kind of strange that two such distinct and unrelated scents could inhabit the same perfume. I thought maybe it was my imagination for a while, but when I met up with my boyfriend (who bought me the entire Labyrinth collection for my birthday–thank you baby!) he immediately asked if I was chewing Double Bubble. So, definitely not what I was expecting, but pleasant and mysterious nonetheless.
