Say that the men of the old black tower,
Though they but feed as the goatherd feeds,
Their money spent, their wine gone sour,
Lack nothing that a soldier needs,
That all are oath-bound men:
Those banners come not in.
There in the tomb stand the dead upright,
But winds come up from the shore:
They shake when the winds roar,
Old bones upon the mountain shake.
Those banners come to bribe or threaten,
Or whisper that a man’s a fool
Who, when his own right king’s forgotten,
Cares what king sets up his rule.
If he died long ago
Why do you dread us so?
There in the tomb drops the faint moonlight,
But wind comes up from the shore:
They shake when the winds roar,
Old bones upon the mountain shake.
The tower’s old cook that must climb and clamber
Catching small birds in the dew of the morn
When we hale men lie stretched in slumber
Swears that he hears the king’s great horn.
But he’s a lying hound:
Stand we on guard oath-bound!
There in the tomb the dark grows blacker,
But wind comes up from the shore:
They shake when the winds roar,
Old bones upon the mountain shake.
A sepulchral, desolate scent. Long-dead soldiers, oath-bound; the perfume of their armor, the chill wind that surges through their tower, white bone and blackened steel: white sandalwood, ambergris, wet ozone, galbanum and leather with ebony, teak, burnt grasses, English ivy and a hint of red wine.

It’s so strange and funny how differently perfumes react in different people’s skin. This one smells like LILAC on me, even though there’s nothing floral in it–but like smelling lilacs outside, still on the tree, with fresh air all around you, rather than indoors in a bouquet. It’s a lovely, fresh, spring-like fragrance

The lemon rind and vetiver is doing a lot of leg work to up the crisp, fresh bite in the bottle, but on my skin it warms up a bit. feel like this would be a nice summer/spring unisex scent.

The lemon note hits hardest on me, but the sandalwood and vetiver balance it to create a sophisticated scent. This fragrance is like wrapping up in a warm fluffy towel after receiving a well-oiled massage at the spa.

Definitely like this one. I’d say it’s a very understated masculine scent. Sweet, not too light, not too dark, leaning slightly to feminine.

Reminds me of a secret room with dusty books and an air of mystery and foreboding. I love it. I smell a woody smell with lemon. Reminds me of a more masculine fragrance, but as a woman I would wear this as well. The combination here is spot on with the feel of magical incantations. Going to be buying a bigger bottle as soon as possible!

On me, the vetiver is consistently dominant. Upon application, there is a hint of sandalwood and citrus which fade and leave me with something that’s a more softly masculine, green scent.
Gloame –
A favorite for spring wear. It smells like wand wood. Ollivander might’ve used this in a wand wax. If the perfume chooses the witch, then Incantation is definitely for me.

Wet – Sandalwood is the dominant scent, followed by the vetiver. I can hardly smell the lemon. The perfume starts out quite masculine.
Dry – The lemon starts to show up and tempers the sandalwood, making the scent more gender neutral.
Fading – The scent becomes sweet and only a touch powdery, leaning just a bit toward feminine. Can’t quite make out the sandalwood or the lemon anymore. It’s become one smell that I find very attractive.
EMILY –
Pretty exactly what is says a simple scent, sandalwood and lemon. On me starts out quite strong but sandalwoods sweetness after a while calms the lemon into a vanilla.
