PERFUME OIL BLENDS
Presented in an amber apothecary vial.
$6.25 – $25.00
To stab my youth with desperate knives, to wear
This paltry age’s gaudy livery,
To let each base hand filch my treasury,
To mesh my soul within a woman’s hair,
And be mere Fortune’s lackeyed groom, — I swear
I love it not! these things are less to me
Than the thin foam that frets upon the sea,
Less than the thistle-down of summer air
Which hath no seed: better to stand aloof
Far from these slanderous fools who mock my life
Knowing me not, better the lowliest roof
Fit for the meanest hind to sojourn in,
Than to go back to that hoarse cave of strife
Where my white soul first kissed the mouth of sin.
A sophisticated traditional gentleman’s cologne, with just the slightest taint of patchouli’s passion, tonka bean’s decadence, the philanthropy of bergamot, moss’ cynicism, the sharp wit of lavender, and the hopeless romantic longing of jasmine and thyme.

super clean, and very lightly masculine. despite it being unmistakably a cologne it feels super delicate. not a lot of throw

This is my go-to evening scent. The individual notes interact well and no single note stands out more than the rest. This blend is rather light, so you may want to reapply after a few hours, if you get the chance to do so. As a more traditional cologne scent, this blend stands out. This oil could use more throw, however. There is a mild spiciness to this blend (at least on my skin). It is a very sophisticated and mature scent.

This is quite possibly one of my favroite scents. Though I am a woman, I enjoy trying masculine things. This will now be one of my signature scents. It’s crisp, sharp, and sexy. When my imp is gone, I must order a full size!

Bought this as a gift for my boyfriend who has never worn cologne once in the years that I’ve known him, so I was skeptical if he would even bother, but a week later he’s worn it every day and I catch him smelling his wrist all the time. Not that I blame him, to be honest I can’t stop smelling him either, it’s becoming a problem! Overall this comes off as a much better quality mainstream colonge, but up close it’s so much more than that, it’s spicy and warm but also sharp and fresh, the description is perfect. Will be buying the full size for sure!

I picked this up at a BPAL event after a single sniff, then have basically been pouring it on my husband since then. He loves it, fortunately. This smells so freaking good and sexy. It’s light and sophisticated but definitely has an ‘Would you care to tear my clothes off, miss?’ vibe to it. None of the listed notes overpower; it’s all quiet confidence. The man who wears this has nothing to prove, but he knows he smells good anyway.
Where to wear this: When you’re hoping the lady will undress you with her eyes

Wilde definitely smells of the lavender mostly which is my favorite scent so I’m not complaining. Being a men’s scent, it has that cologne smell to it but I think women will enjoy it too.

Wilde’s been a clean, pleasant mainstay in my ablutions for a decade. Sweet but not unctuous, traditional but not plain, it’s a cut above the stuff I grew up with. Highly recommended for most months of the year.

Thus far, this is one of my favorite BPAL scents. Definitely a sophisticated herbal floral bouquet with a masculine edge. A nice clean sharp smell that is sure to turn heads when worn by the right person. I found this scent to be rather unisex and I imagine it would smell perfect on a man or a woman. I don’t think this is a scent anyone can wear and pull off, but if you have the right skin chemistry, this will smell amazing. I, fortunately, have the right chemistry for this scent and I was immensely charmed by this perfume. I could detect a burst of lavender and patchouli upon application and the dry down was punctuated by thyme and bergamot. This scent is reminiscent of a sharp wit applied with grace and keenness in a Victorian tea parlor. A fitting tribute to the great Oscar Wilde. A thinking person’s perfume.

I bought this for my male partner, but I would also wear it myself (as a woman). It smells a bit like a more traditional male cologne with enough complexity though to make it unique. The lavender and bergamont are prominent and combined with the other notes it makes for an incredibly sexy scent in my opinion – I love how it smells on my guy!

The description of this scent is quite apt. In the vial, the bergamot notes came out sharply from underneath lavender’s sage aroma. It definitely smelled quite a lot like some colognes I’ve noticed on men, so a lot of people might consider it more masculine (I say perfume has no gender).
When I first applied it to my wrist, it had an almost watery smell. I’d definitely describe it as a cool scent. As it dried the lavender became most prominent, with the bergamot softening. A deep breath in through the nose, bringing the scent to the back of the roof of the mouth to really “taste” it is where I found the jasmine’s sugary sweetness. I do not pick up the patchouli at all, and I am not sure what tonka bean smells like (so unsure if I smell it). Thyme might come through very faintly, but I think I smelled it more in the vial than on me.
This is a very complex oil, and I think it is quite sophisticated. I’m a woman, and I’m considering getting a bottle for myself.
