Though thy slumber may be deep,
Yet thy spirit shall not sleep;
There are shades which will not vanish,
There are thoughts thou canst not banish;
By a power to thee unknown,
Thou canst never be alone;
Thou art wrapt as with a shroud,
Thou art gather’d in a cloud;
And for ever shalt thou dwell
In the spirit of this spell.
A profound and entrancing potion. Deep, wispy, and unfathomably dark: vetiver, dark woods, crumbling and burnt black sandalwood and a drop of lemon rind.
A brace of loaded pistols
He carried night and day;
He never robbed a poor man
Upon the king’s highway;
But what he’d taken from the rich,
Like Turpin and Black Bess,
He always did divide it
With the widow in distress.
Stand and deliver! Vetiver with gardenia, blood red rose, night-blooming jasmine, a dash of cinnamon and a faint hint of leather
True, perfect golden light, refined into an incomparably glorious scent.
A disconcerting scent, heavy and oppressive, through which no light, no matter, and no spirit can escape. Black opium, labdanum, opoponax, black orchid, and benzoin.

Very herbal pronounced for me with minimal wood, it’s a good scent for when I can’t get outdoors but I want to smell what I’m missing.

this smelled very herbal when i first put it on but it dried down to a fresher scent with hints of wood and herbs, etc. I found that it was very light on me after it dried down, It’s pleasant and interesting without being overwhelming

smells wonderfully like fresh cut Birch tree ( the species you make birch beer from)

Wow, weird and super interesting! It’s very herby and it kind of reminds me of Tiger Balm, but not hot. All cold. I really like this.

Purchased this at Dragoncon because I was looking for an oil similar to a perfume I had tried but decided not to buy elsewhere. A delicious woodsy smell with a sharp mint edge, fades to a lovely soft moss scent. Reminds me of a forest after rainfall.

I thought this was awful at first. On aplication this was pure mouthwash on me – yuck! BUT, once it had time to dry down it became very interesting – flowers and woods with lots of cedar. Very pleasant and fresh.

Ah I love the story of Yggdrasil! It has such great imagery. In the bottle this was beautiful, woody and herbal with a hint of sweetness(which I believe was the spearemint-like scent of the birch) Wet on my skin it kept changing one moment I could smell birch, the next it was earthy herbals and woods. In the end when it was dry though all I could smell was cedar. Which is a nice enough smell but I literally smelled like a cedar trunk. Boo for body chemistry *sigh* otherwise this would have been perfect.
