My well-beloved was stripped. Knowing my whim,
She wore her tinkling gems, but naught besides:
And showed such pride as, while her luck betides,
A sultan’s favored slave may show to him.
When it lets off its lively, crackling sound,
This blazing blend of metal crossed with stone
Gives me an ecstasy I’ve only known
Where league of sound and lustre can be found.
She let herself be loved: then, drowsy-eyed,
Smiled down from her high couch in languid ease.
My love was deep and gentle as the seas
And rose to her as to a cliff the tide.
My own approval of each dreamy pose,
Like a tamed tiger, cunningly she sighted:
And candour, with lubricity united,
Gave piquancy to every one she chose.
Her limbs and hips, burnished with changing lustres
Before my eyes, clairvoyant and serene,
Swanned themselves, undulating in their sheen;
Her breasts and belly, of my vine the clusters,
Like evil angels rose, my fancy twitting,
To kill the peace which over me she’d thrown,
And to disturb her from the crystal throne
Where, calm and solitary, she was sitting.
So swerved her pelvis that, in one design,
Antiope’s white rump it seemed to graft
To a boy’s torso, merging fore and aft.
The talc on her brown tan seemed half-divine.
The lamp resigned its dying flame. Within,
The hearth alone lit up the darkened air,
And every time it sighed a crimson flare
It drowned in blood that amber-coloured skin.
Skin musk and honey, blood-red rose, orange blossom, white peach, red apple, frankincense and myrrh.

Rather musky and sharp

I adore it. Firstly because I adore amber in general. Secondly because once on my skin, the almost bitter sharpness from the vial changes completely and turns into a poetic symphony with a great staying power and a unique, sunny fragrance that creates memories and anchors to a period/feeling….for me, this is a very nice scent for spring but its real greatness blooms in summer.

Woodsy.

A very warm, feminine, and woodsy scent. I am glad I tried it but I will likely not order again.
Gloame –
I ordered an imp of this with my Lupers purchase. I was looking to branch out and I really like the theme. At first, this reminded me of ladies’ room liquid soap. Soft, liquid, a bit frou frou. It’s not a bad smell. But as it dried down, I started losing the scent altogether, and 15 minutes later couldn’t find it on my skin. I think this one has a lot of potential, but it’s not for me.

Rich, warm, enchanted glory. It is skin with the Spring’s first kiss of sun. The blossoms are so delicate, so new. This is sexy, a little bit spicy, and clean. A freshly bathed Goddess! While the amber is rich, the blossoms lighten it, making it a great resin scent that is wearable in the Spring and Summer.
Brisingamen is the best of O (but way more amber), Alice and Phantom Queen together. I feel like I have all of my loves on at once! If O was too sweet, Alice was too girlie, and Phantom Queen was just a bit too appley, please try this. If you have never tried ANY of these, try this!

This is one that needs to age! I got it as a frimp in my last order and tried it within days of arrival at my house. All I got was powdery amber. It was nice, but nothing special. A month has since passed and I decided to give it another try. Now it is beautiful! The apple blossom is noticeable on a cloud of amber, but the amber is less prominent and powdery. Now it works more to give depth to the apple blossom where as before aging Brisingamen was a blast of amber nothing more. I definitely want t a full bottle of this!

Lovely, liquid golden amber, with a sight spicy kick from the carnations and the prettiest Apple blossom. It smells warm and comforting and seductive all at once. Amber really sings on my skin, and this is the amber holy grail. This is the closest I have to a signature scent, and it draws compliments like a magnet! Please don’t ever stop making this one.

Soft and charming, Brisingamen is mostly amber, similar to Haunted, but with gentle whispers of carnation. Warm, golden, sweet, and powdery, very classy and feminine. It’s not one of those over-the-top scents that turns heads when you walk into a room, but it smells heavenly up close.

Out of the vial lots of amber and abit of the carnation and I don;t know why but it almost smells metalic to me. As it dries I think I start to smell the myrtle. Not too bad. I’m notmally more of a spicey/citrusy/herbal gal myself but I actually might wear this again.
