As others noted, the grape is really strong in this scent, not a candy-like smell, but it does “dry down” to a powdery scent. Still a really beautiful scent especially for summer! 🙂

Candy-like in the bottle. I smell grape first and foremost, it turns a bit soapy and powdery on my skin but not in a bad way. I ordered this as an imp and now I’m immediately ordering a full-size bottle. I really love it, It feels comforting to wear.

I may be the only BPALer who doesn’t love HJtC. To me, it smells straight up Fruit Loops. It’s not awful, but I really don’t love it.

Upon application what I smell is almond, grapes (fresh green ones not the purple Concord grapes) and a floral that smells to me like heliotrope. On me the grapes fade away and the almond goes into the background, leaving the heliotrope front and center. Since I adore the smell of heliotrope this is awesome for me and I bought a bottle immediately. Interestingly, I let my mother try it on and with her skin chemistry the grapes were forward…again with almond in the background. Equally lovely but totally different.
I took one star off because, unfortunately, this scent is not super strong and fades pretty quickly. It definitely needs reapplication during the day. But it’s so beautiful I love it anyway.

Gorgeous scent, and one of my very first purchases that I still love years later.
Fresh juicy red grapes- not grapey like candy- but fresh off the vine, and creamy almond and fresh green things….. blended so well that all the notes together make this a really beautiful, comforting, easeful scent.
