Add to cartYou move towards the first stage on your right, and as you walk, you feel something brush across your cheek. Something about the softness of the phantom caress makes your skin crawl, and you flinch involuntarily. At that moment, the Spider Girl strides haughtily onto the platform, her stiletto heels clicking a strange staccato as she walks. Her body is wrapped in skin-tight strips of black PVC, and the gleaming vinyl glistens in stark contrast to the alabaster skin on her six pale, white arms. She gestures to the rafters above with a graceful flick of her blood-red nails. In dread, your eyes are drawn skyward: above her, in a gossamer snare, web-shrouded bodies twist and struggle.

Not as rich and sophisticated as I was expecting, but if you like leather and vetiver, you’ll probably like it.

Heavy, deep, dark leather scent both in the bottle and on the skin. Slightly smoky. Would be very easy to layer with something spicy or a sweet floral. Definitely something I would wear walking alone at night, it’s quite an empowering scent evon though the through isn’t too strong. Walk silently and carry a big stick.

Very heavy and masc. Upon application, the vetiver stands out most, but as it dries, the leather takes over. This smells like something that Arthur on Peaky Blinders would wear- it’s a brute-force scent. Even on a male-identified person, I like something a little sweeter, but if you’re looking for a battle axe in scent form, here it be!

I purchased this imp because it was listen in the best beloved section and I was instantly attracted to the description. It is definitely a masculine scent. I could see myself wearing this to a business meeting where I wanted to be seen a powerful & strong. It is not timid. It is not one that would personally wear day to day. A mature, sexy, wizard who smokes cigarettes.

This one is really interesting. When I first put it on, it smelled of musk and leather. The best way to describe it was “sex dungeon.” I was so confused. I liked it, but it was more aggressive than what I’m usually into. After it lingered, the vetiver came out. I can still smell the vetiver on my skin a good 7 or 8 hours later. The staying power is great. I’ve really never smelled anything like it, and my sniffer has been around the block and then some. Iago is so alluring that I bought a whole bottle the day after acquiring an imp ear. I want to let my olfactory freak flag fly. Thanks BPAL!

A lovely deep warm smokey scent. On my skin the leather smell almost reads like horses, a good musky animal scent. Initially the leather comes on very strong as does the vetiver and comes off kind of like beef jerky (the only reason I’m docking a point)after a half hour this mellows into the cruel, dangerous and alluring smell I want Iago to be and has a very light floral property hiding in the vetiver. Absolutely fantastic!

Scents are amazing in that they stir emotions and and even call forth memories, images and passions and for all of those reasons, I love Iago. There is something sinister, sophisticated, intelligent and elitist about Iago and the vetiver has much to do with that. There is nothing flowery or sweet about it. It is a glorious, dark, shadowy scent with a touch of lightning; like a being from a Gustave Moreau painting just stepped into our reality. Highly recommended. I am about to make my fourth purchase of it.

I’ve come to understand that I don’t my skin does not respond well to the vetiver in PBAL products. It reads like stale cigarette smoke on me. I’m not really getting black musk or leather just a heaviness. Not a winner for me but if vetiver works for you the scent may be completely different.
