A rich, bold blend of imperial rose, carnation, lush jasmine, lily of the valley, dark musk, amber, bergamot and gilded tangerine.
The pinnacle of wealth, luxury, self-indulgent pleasure, voluptuousness and sensuality.
Bright violet with sweet clove, Mediterranean incense notes and tonka bean.
The essence of innocence shattered: glittering Egyptian amber and heliotrope, infused with the sweetness of strawberry and vanilla – dragged into debauch by lusty red musk and a dribble of black cherry.
Sexuality, power, confidence. A meeting of modern, sleek elegance and rich, passionate history: sheer amber, black leather, white mint, lemon peel, white tea, grapefruit, kush, teakwood and orchid.

Wet: fresh, floral, GREEN, a lil soapy, very Spring
Just Dry: less soapy, green and floral more balanced, and yes, water
Later: Balanced, spring water, green florals. Reminds me of a Monet painting a bit. But I’ve never been to Amsterdam.

Love this scent. I keep coming back to it over and over. A light, wistful fragrance that reminds me of my trip to Amsterdam.

I enjoyed this scent very much, it lifted my spirits on a ho-hum day. It had a soapy smell at first and then dried down to smell like lilacs on my skin. Unfortunately it didn’t last as long as some of the other scents I have tried from BPAL. But then I have the pleasure of reapplying it again.

Light, clean, dewy spring florals with a hint of green grass. Dries down to a watery, clean, light floral. Nothing unpleasant, but I don’t love this one either.

In the bottle, Amsterdam smells crisp and wet, almost soapy. On my skin, it remains crisp, but the sweetness of the flowers comes out further. It’s a very cool, springy scent. It makes me see morning sunlight, clotheslines full of flapping laundry, and young, dew-covered grass. This would be a five, except that it’s disappointingly short-lived.

Clean and crisp and relaxing. Very subtle, very feminine.

I’m giving Amsterdam to one of my bridesmaids as a gift and I’m sort of regretting it because I’m so drawn to this scent I want to keep it for myself. It’s has a minimalist modern edge to it, but still pretty. Like a single potent flower in a minimalist crystal vase. I really smell the peony which you don’t see often in perfumes. It would be a nice scent for someone that liked florals but didn’t want to be predictable.
