A Ukrainian cinnamon apple cake with brown sugar. My grandmother’s yabluchnyk contained black cherries and peaches, so that’s what you’re getting here, too.
Sugar-sprinkled sufganiyot filled with blackberry jelly and spiced roasted apple.
A brace of loaded pistols
He carried night and day;
He never robbed a poor man
Upon the king’s highway;
But what he’d taken from the rich,
Like Turpin and Black Bess,
He always did divide it
With the widow in distress.
Stand and deliver! Vetiver with gardenia, blood red rose, night-blooming jasmine, a dash of cinnamon and a faint hint of leather
Snake Oil with linden blossom, calla lily, passion flower, and narcissus.

This is an interesting one. Deliciously fruity at first and a bit more rough around the edges as it dries – a nice mix of bitter, tangy and sweet. Straight out of the bottle blood orange really jumps out. After it dries, it becomes much more herbal on my skin. Then, after a couple hours, it gains warm and woodsy tones. Very subtle.

The staying power on this one is killer! At first, you smell all the individual components, and it comes on strong. After working 7 hours in a ridiculously high volume vegan restaurant (on a one hour wait before we open the doors type volume), I still smelled it! It had settled into what I love most about Snake Oil: the creamy amber spice, but with the added fruity sweetness of this particular blend. LOVE.

I took a big chance with this and I could not be happier about it. It’s a perfect summer scent and so pretty. I’m weary of fruity scents because they can be too sweet, and of florals because they tend to be too strong and induce headaches. This perfume is a perfect balance, and the snake oil blend adds a warmth to the scent. To me, this smells very similar to a red honeysuckle air freshner that I have, with a hint of pineapple – neither of which are notes in this blend. I love it and I intend to buy at least two more bottles to store away.
My only complaint is that it doesn’t last super long on me. I applied a substantial amount at 8am, it’s now 1pm and I have to put my nose to my wrist to smell it.

5ml straight from the Lab. Top notes: juicy red apple. I don’t get much Snake Oil in this blend, especially wet. As it starts to dry down, I get the most interesting hint of plumeria with the apple. It’s kind of a mealy apple. 10-15 minutes after drydown, it’s a dry apple on me, with no lemon and just a touch of the plumeria.

Red candy apple, juicy blood orange, candied lemon peel, and wet, cool tropical blooms. Very sweet and fruity, and so pretty.
