   I actually purchased this scent over a decade ago at a con and I just found it hiding in a moving box. Even a decade later it still smells amazing. It starts off very strong and fruity but then fades to a slightly sweet, musky scent. I’ve been wearing it at work lately and I’ve been told I smell great.

   One of my favorite BPAL scents! Love the name, firstly. But also it’s the perfect cherry chapstick scent (like, the classic chapstick brand). Waxy, cherry but it’s a lighter cherry, not super super fruity. It just straight up smells like the chapstick so if you’ve smelt that, you’ve smelt this! Lana del Rey vibes. Such a cute photorealistic scent, perfect for summer.

   I wasn’t sure I’d like this one, as it starts out smelling like a big bag of Gummy Bears on me. But after being on my kin for about half an hour this becomes a lot smokier while still retaining a little berry sweetness. I received this as a frimp, but may add it to my collection- I can’t stop smelling my wrists when I wear this!

   Full disclosure, I originally liked this scent mostly for the name, but it has become one of my favorites. It does go on very sweet and a bit too fruity/heavy (at least, on me) but it does fade to become more well-rounded, with prominent cherry notes. Although my mom says it smells a bit like “church”…whatever that means. It is a muskier, “sexier” scent than I usually prefer (I’m more a vanilla scent fan myself) but I wear it for special occasions. It is definitely strong but in a good way. 🙂

   In the imp: This is such a beautiful fragrance. All the sugared fruity trampy goodness. It’s sweet & fruity & calmost cakey… yet totally not at the same time. It’s a gorgeous fragrance.

   Sadly, it turns on me & gives me a headache.

   However, On my friend J, This develops from fruity goodness to a womanly vanilla musk- with a touch of the cherry left. Gorgeous!

    This is my very first order from here! I was curious to try this one in particular because my skin tends to absorb most fruity/sweet scents and leave the darker musk behind, and I wanted to see if BPAL’s oils would do that. Below is my amateur attempt ad describing the scent:

    In vial: Bubblegum. Sickly sweet strawberry bubblegum. I almost gagged when I first smelled it, it was so strong. Knowing what I was supposed to be smelling, I was a little disappointed at first.

    Wet: The sickly sweetness calmed down and turned into a ripe, round berry smell edged with something heavier (the red musk maybe?) It’s keeping the berries in check and turning it into a very nicely balanced scent.

    Dry: Lovely! It smells like the most wonderful berry incense you can imagine. I couldn’t stop smelling myself when I wore it (and it sticks around for a while!)

    Verdict: I adore this scent. It’s sweet, cozy, approachable, and gently sensual. For me this is an all-day scent. Couldn’t be happier!

    This is my favorite fragrance by BPAL. It goes on sweet and intoxicating, and then there’s a sensual rush as it shifts into the mid-notes. The fruit, heliotrope, and amber balance each other perfectly, but the scent is daring, near the edge. It’s a sunset in Griffith Park, nature made more beautiful by human defilement.

    Sweet strawberry, sweet cherry and creamy vanilla, with the red musk keeping it from being too sweet (though this is definitely still very sweet). Sexy, sweet, red, fruity and musky.

    Gloame – March 7, 2015

    Beautiful warm, dry scent. Like California in drought season. Wet, it’s very sweet and innocent, but when it dries down, it becomes so sensual that I want to rub my nose over the skin it’s on, a decidedly sexual act. I am very fond of warm, woody scents. This is a beautiful example of one, without the sharp spice that other warm woody scents often give due to the incense notes.

    If you want to smell like Coachella, this is the scent for you.

    Duskinhereyes – November 24, 2013

    Musky, fruity, sweet and slightly devious in it’s scent. That is Hollywood Babylon. In the bottle, you can smell the brightness which I am attributing to the heliotrope as it is a a flower that tracks the movement of the sun. When I put this on the red musk immediately comes into play with a hint of strawberry and amber. I feel like I am in California on a hot, sunny day wearing my heart shaped sunglasse. You know the Guns n Roses video for Welcome to the Jungle? If Axel Rose had been a chick, this is what she would’ve put on when she got off the bus.
